The Arrangement I’ve Been Styling in Our Hallway This Summer
There’s always one faux flower arrangement each season that completely captures the feeling I want our home to have.
This one is mine for summer.
As we’ve been slowly renovating our hallway recently, I knew I wanted the space to feel soft, welcoming and full of life - somewhere that instantly feels calm and inviting the moment you walk through the door. And interestingly, it all started with the vase.
Our Helmingham Vase in this rich ochre yellow has such warmth to it. It almost feels sun-soaked. Against the softer neutral tones of our hallway, it brings this subtle depth and richness without overpowering the space. It’s become one of those pieces that completely changes depending on what you style inside it.
For summer, I wanted to lean into that warmth rather than fight against it.
So I began building a faux flower arrangement around soft whites, fresh greens and delicate, buttery yellow tones that tie everything together.

The Flowers I Chose
At the heart of the arrangement are our new Faux Wild Daisies.
There’s something beautifully nostalgic about them. They feel relaxed, slightly untamed and effortlessly summery - almost like something you’d gather on a countryside walk. I didn’t want the arrangement to feel too polished or overly “done.” The beauty comes from it feeling light, natural and full of movement.
To create the arrangement, I used:
The eucalyptus creates that soft foundation and gives the arrangement shape without making it feel heavy. Then the cosmos bring this incredible airy movement throughout the arrangement - their delicate white petals almost appear to dance above everything else.
But one of my favourite details is actually the yellow running throughout.
The tiny yellow centres of the daisies and cosmos pick up the warmth of the Helmingham Vase, tying the whole arrangement together in a way that feels really considered without being obvious. It’s those little colour connections that make arrangements feel elevated and intentional.

Why I Love This Faux Flower Arrangement for a Hallway
Hallways can often become forgotten spaces in the home, but I actually think they set the tone for the rest of the home.
This faux flower arrangement has brought so much softness into ours. The scale works beautifully on a hallway table because it creates impact straight away, but the flowers themselves still feel delicate and airy. Nothing feels stiff or overly formal. Instead, it has that relaxed “effortless abundance” that I always gravitate towards in summer styling.
I also love how the arrangement changes throughout the day depending on the light. In the morning, the greens feel fresh and crisp, whereas by evening the ochre tones of the vase become much richer and warmer.
It genuinely makes the hallway feel finished now.
How to Style Faux Flowers More Naturally
One of the biggest mistakes people make with faux flower arrangements is making everything too symmetrical.
The magic is in the movement.
When styling this arrangement, I made sure to:
- Bend the stems into natural shapes
- Allow some flowers to sit lower/higher than others
- Keep the cosmos slightly taller for height and softness
- Let the eucalyptus gently spill outward to frame the arrangement
The goal is to create something that feels gathered over time rather than perfectly arranged.
And don’t underestimate the importance of colour balance either. Even subtle repeated tones like the buttery yellow centres of these flowers echoing the glaze of the vase can make a faux flower arrangement feel beautifully cohesive.

The Final Look
This faux flower arrangement feels like English summer to me.
Soft whites, fresh greenery, warm sunlight tones and flowers that feel just a little wild.
It’s relaxed, timeless and welcoming - exactly how I wanted our hallway to feel this season.
