Caring for your Faux Flowers

At The Suffolk Nest, we believe faux flowers should be enjoyed for yeays, not just a season. Each stem is designed to bring lasting beauty to your home, and with a little care and attention, your arrangements will continue to look as lifelike and elegant as the day they arrived.

Display with Care

  • We recommend keeping your stems away from prolonged direct sunlight, as this may cause colours to fade over time.
  • If your arrangement is displayed in the same position for long periods, gently rorate your stems every so often to encourage even wear and keep them looking their best.

Cleaning your Stems

  • Gently dust your stems regularly using a soft cloth.
  • For more delicate petals or harder-to-reach areas, a hairdryer on a cool, low setting works well.
  • If you notice any marks, simply wipe with a baby wipe, or lightly damp cloth.

Styling in Water

  • Only place stems in water if it is fully plastic coated.
  • Change the water at least once every 10 days.
  • If you choose to trim or cut the stems to fit your vase, we recommend sealing the cut end with a small amount of clear nail varnish, or super glue. This prevents moisture entering the stem which will have a wire in, and reduces the risk of rust.

Storing your Faux Flowers

  • Always give your stems a gentle clean before storing by dusting and shaking.
  • Store in a cool, dry place - away from direct sunlight or moisture/damp
  • Use a sturdy storage box with life to help protect petals, foliage, and branches from dust and damage.
